Basic Installation
==================

These are generic installation instructions.

   Job arranger Agent for AIX offers a compressed tar file.
Expand the tar file, it is possible to run the installation shell as the root user,
you can install the Job arranger Agent.

The easiest way to install this package are as follows:

  1. Uncompress the Job Arranger Agent package.

     # uncompress jobarg_agentd_X.X.X.aix<OS-VER>.<ARCH>.tar.Z

  2. Expand the tar package of Job Arranger Agent.

     # tar xvf jobarg_agentd_X.X.X.aix<OS-VER>.<ARCH>.tar

  3. Change the current directory to the installation directory.

     # cd jobarg_agentd_X_X_X

  4. Run the installation shell with no arguments.

     # ./install.sh


Start and stop of Job Arranger Agent to perform the following command.

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/jobarg-agentd start
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/jobarg-agentd stop


Check the execution results in the log file.

# more /var/log/jobarranger/jobarg_agentd.log
