Editors
Sometimes called text editors, these are programs that allow you to create and edit text files. This includes Emacs and Vi.
- emacs - GNU Emacs editor
- jed - A fast, compact editor based on the slang screen library
- joe - An easy to use, modeless text editor
- vim-enhanced - A version of the VIM editor which includes recent enhancements
- vim-macros - The macro files needed by enhanced or X11 version of the VIM editor
